IBD Pregnancy Study
Join the IBD-PR Study and Help Advance the Science of Healthy Pregnancy
Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) doesn’t stop just because there’s a baby on the way! In fact, it’s believed that up to 2 out of 3 with active disease at conception will have flares throughout their pregnancy.1 For this reason, healthcare providers want to learn more about the treatment of IBD during pregnancy. To acquire this knowledge, we are gathering information from people just like you: Pregnant individuals who have Ulcerative Colitis, indeterminate colitis, other and unspecified noninfective gastroenteritis, or Crohn’s Disease also known as IBD.
A key part of this study involves creating an IBD Pregnancy Registry (IBD-PR).
For this study we need eligible people to join. Rest assured, we will not be
administering any drugs—we simply want to know some things about you and
your pregnancy. For example, what prescription IBD medications are you
taking, if any, during your current pregnancy? The data we gather will be
analyzed as a whole and may be shared with healthcare providers to help them make
more informed choices when treating IBD during pregnancy.
We sincerely appreciate your help!
